In cash tenancy forms of production juridical ownership of
the means of production is normally concentrated in the hands
of the cash tenant, with rentier landlords' only relation to
the ownership of the means of production being invested in
the private ownership of land. However, cash tenants may be
involved in other rentier relationships to the means of
production as in the case of the rental of agricultural
machinery.
Economic Control of the Means of Production
Rentier landiords are not engaged in any relationship of real
subsumption of the labour process and are alienated from
