respect to Arab girls and Jewish girls, as a specific in-
stance of unequal enforcement and facilitation as regards
Arabs and Jews in general.
In the present section, we shall examine the rate of
access of Arab girls to educational facilities at the post-
primary level.
16. On 31 December 1964, Arab girls aged 15 to
19 years numbered 11,860, while Arab boys nurnbered
13,411.) Jews in the same age-group numbered 110,566
girls and 119,300 boys.'?5)
During the school-year 1964/1965, Arab girls enroll-
ed in post-primary schools and classes of all types num-
bered 268; of these, 57 attended “preparatory classes to
teachers’ training colleges.” 9 At the same time, 54,387
Jewish girls were enrolled in post-primary schools and
classes in general, including 4,150 in “preparatory classes
to teachers’ training colleges.” 7
Arab boys enrolled in post-primary schools of all
