had not heard of that claim.
This claim did not convince as many Americans as the
first claim. 20.0 per cent were not convinced of the second
claim, compared to 15.0 per cent who were not convinced of
the first claim. 33.0 per cent were convinced of the second
claim, compared to 45.0 per cent who were convinced of the
first claim. 42.0 per cent were not sure whether the Pales-
tinians meant their claim that they want a democratic Pales-
tinian state or not. (See Table 10b below.)
